We have now implemented a sophisticated shipping calculator that plugs directly into the back of Australia Post to return accurate shipping data and costs. This is a must for Australian retailers as you now know you are paying the exact amount for shipping that you should be.
It offers you a number of shipping options to allow you to choose the option that best suits you. These include standard post, Express and Registered and Insured – all through Australia Post. An explanation of each is listed below.
We are now offering those that wish to take it up, a free shipping option. This option however, DOES NOT require a signature, and is NOT INSURED. We would recommend using a registered and insured method, but we will leave it up to you! There is NO replacement or refunds are offered for items that get lost in the mail using this service – Use this method at your own risk!
Registered and Insured
These are mainly boxed, and are fully insured for loss or damage. A signature will be required on delivery. This is the recommended form of shipping, as it insures you will get a replacement if it goes missing, or is damaged in transit and tracking is supplied.
Express Post – NO INSURANCE
Express Post allow for fast shipping to anywhere in Australia and tracking is provided, but no insurance or signature on delivery is provided. Items shipped using these methods are mainly shipped in satchels. We will wrap all items in Bubble Wrap to protect them, and where appropriate, we will ship items boxed rather than satchels. Tracking is provided, but no signature required and no insurance on items. Should the item not turn up, or is damaged in transit, Mongrel Gear will not be held responsible. Australia Post has phased out the DO NOT SAFE DROP stickers, and so Express Post parcels may be left on doorsteps etc, if you are not home. Be careful when selecting this option.
Express Post – With Unsurance
This option allows for an Express service, but is insured, and will require a signature on delivery. If you are not home, then you will receive a card advising you to go the Post Office to sign for your parcel. Australia Post will NOT leave the box without a signature. This is the safest way to get your goods delivered Express, and insures you against loss or damage.
Standard Parcel Post
Anything shipped with this method is shipped without insurance. Tracking is provided, but no signature required and no insurance on items. Should the item not turn up, or is damaged in transit, Mongrel Gear will not be held responsible.
*** PLEASE NOTE ***
There has been some confusion as to the amounts being charged for orders. The label that is printed and stuck to the outside of the box by Australia Post is only the postage charge. They DO NOT include tracking and insurance charges, as it gives away the value of the goods inside.
As an example: If your goods are insured for $500, then there is $7.50 in insurance, PLUS $2.95 for tracking that needs to be added to the amount printed on the box.
PRICING AND TAX
All prices on the website are inclusive of GST. GST will be calculated and detailed on your final invoice.
Overseas orders WILL NOT attract Tax. The Tax will be removed at the checkout.
STOCK AND PRE-ORDER
All products that are able to be added to the shopping cart are in stock. If a product is out of stock – a NOTIFY ME option will be displayed allowing you to be notified when an item returns to stock, or is put up for pre-order.
Products that are marked for Pre-Order are items that are in transit and can be ordered to secure the stock before it arrives. Payment is processed in the normal way, just as if the product was in stock.
We try to keep our stock levels very accurate, but sometimes our numbers can be out. We apologise for any convenience this may cause.
All sales are final. Return is accepted on a exchange basis only unless the product is faulty, then standard warranty conditions apply, and you will be entitled to a Refund, Repair or Replacement of the faulty item. If your product arrives faulty or damaged, Please contact us within 7 days of delivery for authorisation to return the items. If you ship items to us that are unauthorised we cannot accept any responsibilities for those items. The items must be in new and unused condition and in its original packaging. We do not accept returns via COD or billed to Mongrel Gear in any way. Buyers pay for all return shipping & handling fees. Shipping & handling fees are non-refundable.

We stand by all of our products we sell, and if it’s faulty, then we will deal with it. Contact us and let us help you solve your issue.
LIMITS OF OUR RESPONSIBILITY
We accept no responsibility for crash damage incurred during operation of a radio-controlled model. It is your responsibility to ensure you abide by the governing laws in your area with regard to the operation of a radio controlled model. We can not be held responsible for any damages caused by your operation of a radio controlled model purchased from Mongrel Gear. We cannot be held responsible for any purchased components that are incorporated into radio systems or problems caused by incompatibility between radio components, etc. Any consequences arising out of the resale of merchandise purchased from Mongrel Gear is the responsibility of the seller, not Mongrel Gear.
PRICE AND/OR DESCRIPTION CHANGES
All prices, pictures and descriptions on this site and all other Mongrel Gear publications are subject to change. We acknowledge that from time to time there may be errors and in the event of typographical errors on our site or in our publications, Mongrel Gear reserves the right to cancel or refuse orders at its sole discretion. Please contact us within 7 days if you believe the prices offered are incorrect. We reserve the right to change our pricing without notice.
